HPU: Operationalizing and Development of the Habitat Partner University InitiativeThis is the final report of a consultancy study commissioned by UN-HABITAT, in order to further articulate the next phase in the development of the Habitat Partner University Initiative. The objective of the study is to articulate the HPU niche, define clusters of activities with the best fit for HPU objectives, and recommend governance and funding approaches to support the nurture, growth and sustainability of HPU Initiative. The method used in the study is largely based on interviews with a number of selected university representatives and UN-Habitat officials. A progress report was presented and discussed at the HPU Side Event organized by UN-Habitat at World Urban Forum 5 in March 2010, which gave further input to the study.
