Inclusive Cultural Heritage Sites

INKULT - Inclusive Cultural Heritage Sites

The final conference has now been held for INKULT, a Vinnova funded project that Living Cities has run together with Norconsult, Kramfors municipality, Region Gotland and the city of Stockholm.

The purpose of the project has been to give individuals with functional variations better conditions to take part in and experience, but also contribute to developing, cultural environments.

The project has mainly focused on the target group of children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The project developed a toolbox for organisations responsible for cultural environments, such as municipalities, associations, government agencies and more. The goal was to provide them with a guide of tools that are easy to use and do not require extra resources.

Tests of various tools were performed together with representatives of the target group during the spring and summer of 2021, in three test beds, in Kramfors municipality, Visby on Gotland and Spånga-Tensta in Stockholm.

The result of the test became the basis for the toolbox, which is now complete and was presented at the final conference together with an introductory film.

The toolbox can be downloaded here (in Swedish).
